COVID-19 Regulations in Dubai Nurseries

Jan 7, 2021 | Blog

Emirates British Nursery was one of the first nurseries in Dubai to successfully reopen in October 2020. We want to thank all of the teachers, parents and children for adjusting so well to the new normal and for following our new procedures to keep everyone safe.

We would like to give you a quick update about our COVID-19 regulations, registration and fees, parent communication and daily childcare and education to answer some of the frequently asked questions we received during the term.

About COVID-19 Regulations

We have followed the guidelines as recommended by governing authorities to ensure that all the children are safe and comfortable.
It is still optional for the children to wear masks and as much as possible, they keep a safe 2 metre distance from each other inside the classrooms.
Parents are only allowed inside the nursery after main hours. Our teacher assistants welcome the children at the drop off points and take them to their class every morning.

Ongoing Communication with Parents

It is important that we maintain a strong relationship and open communication with parents. Our communication software, Educore has been a great way for us to keep in contact with parents with weekly newsletters and photographs. Parents can also contact their child’s teacher by calling reception and leaving a message for the teacher to call them back after class hours.
Thank you to the parents for providing their children with lunch every day. As per the government regulations, we don’t refrigerate or reheat food.

Registration and Fees

We offer flexible payment plans with a monthly payment option. Children are enrolled on a termly basis. You can enrol your child online here: Enrol Now

Daily Child Care and Education

All of the classrooms are cleaned daily and the toys are santised after every use. During the days the children move between 2 classrooms and the outdoor learning areas. With plenty of outdoor areas, the children spend lots of time learning and playing outside, which they thoroughly enjoy. Depending on the age group, in every class there is 1 class teacher and 2 assistants. In the age groups 0-2 there are 8 children in each class and in the 2-4 age groups there are 10 children in each class.
We have made sure that the children’s learning and development in accordance with EYFS is not disrupted during this time. Learning through play underpins the ethos and the 7 areas of learning and development. The children continue to develop their language skills, emotions, creativity, social and intellectual skills.

The development and learning of the children remains our priority and we are happy to see how well they have adapted to the necessary changes in 2020. The children continue to enjoy nursery as a fun, stimulating and safe learning environment.
