EYFS British Curriculum in Dubai

At Emirates British Nursery we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, in accordance with the British National curriculum. Great emphasis is placed upon delivering a broad and balanced curriculum which ensures the children establish a solid foundation of knowledge, skills and understanding upon which they can build throughout their lives.

The Areas of Learning

There are seven areas of learning and development incorporated into the curriculum. Children should mostly develop the 3 prime areas first as these are essential for healthy development and future learning:

Communication
and Language

Physical Development

Personal, Social and Emotional Development

As children grow, the prime areas will help them to develop skills in 4 specific areas. These are:

Literacy
Mathematics
Understanding the World
Expressive Arts and Design

These 7 areas are used to plan your child’s learning and development. Through daily routines and a well-planned programme of activities the children work towards achieving their Early Learning goals.
