At Emirates British Nursery, the Foundation Stage 1 of the UK Early years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is offered in all of our nurseries (ELCs) and now Stage 2 (FS2) is being offered to families at our Mirdif Branch (for 4-5 years).

1. The transition to school
The transition to school is both daunting and overwhelming for some children.
By allowing your child to remain at nursery surrounded by both familiar staff and familiar surroundings while being taught the school curriculum will support your child.
They will feel more confident and secure once they make the transition to school.
2. Siblings can go to nursery together for longer
Siblings can enjoy attending the same nursery for longer with the addition of this year group. This is great for young children as it provides a strong sense of comfort and familiarity. It also comes with the added convenience of one drop-off and pick up for you the parents, rather than multiple trips to the nursery and school. We will also be offering the bus service for this new year group.
3. Purpose-built facilities for younger children
We pride ourselves on a superbly resourced environment with smaller class numbers than most schools alongside well-qualified teaching staff.
In addition, the tailored classrooms, indoor and outdoor areas and adapted nursery bathrooms provide further support for their growth and development. This underpins our children’s early learning within the Early Years Foundation Stage and promotes both independence and decision making. It also promotes a ‘can do’ attitude that builds and nurtures a child’s self-esteem.
4. Consistency and continuity
Moving to FS2 ensures that your child builds on their learning and skills developed in FS1. Our expert teachers are highly qualified to teach FS2 and will have detailed transition meetings with your child’s previous teacher at EBN, alongside you their parents in order to establish a holistic picture of where your child is on their individual learning journey.
This allows us to maintain that personalised approach to your child’s learning throughout their Foundation Stage experience.
